From artwork to woodworking, as well as boat building, these projects reflect my curiosity, creativity, and desire to continually learn new skills.
Kayak
Building a cedar strip kayak challenged me to learn new skills, solve problems, and trust the process. Over hundreds of hours, a collection of wood strips, forms, fiberglass, and patience gradually became a useable and finished watercraft. The project reinforced lessons about craftsmanship, persistence, and the satisfaction of creating something by hand.

Drawing and design have remained constant threads throughout my life. They have taught me to observe carefully, think visually, and approach challenges with creativity and curiosity.

I am drawn (pun intended) to portraiture because every face tells a story. Working primarily in pastel - other times colored pencil, I enjoy the challenge of capturing personality, expression, and the subtle details that make each subject unique.
